Unifor will host its second Independent Parts Supplier (IPS) Collective Bargaining Conference on October 12 and 13, 2022. The Conference will take place in the Bristol Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in London.

In 2017, conference delegates endorsed the union’s first IPS sector bargaining program. Since then, the sector has witnessed major changes, from the loss (and then restart) of production in Oshawa to an accelerated shift toward Zero Emission Vehicles. These changes warrant a review and update to the bargaining program, as well as some reflection on the benefits of the program itself.

Conference attendees will have an opportunity to review and debate proposed amendments to the bargaining program. Attendees will also hear from Unifor leadership, staff and outside experts on the state of Canada’s auto sector, the EV shift and strategize on support parts workers will need now and in the coming years.
